MSN Zone Era nostalgia

Anyone used to play back in the day on MSN gaming zone? I used to play AoK as a kid, and have gotten back into the game just a few months back. Now I pretty much only play ranked, so this doesn't really affect or bother me as much, but does anyone remember the much more nuanced "skill categories"? Nowadays it just seems to be noob, semi noob, super noob, noob+ and expert in the lobbies. Back in my day (in a grandpa voice), we used to have a much more satisfying way of differentiating skill level.

Noob was someone who was actually new to the game (or a derogatory term for someone who lost your team the game)

Brook was a "bad rook". They were basically like a noob, but had a degree of familiarity with the game and maybe a bit of a plan behind their chaos. But still pretty garbage.

Rook was someone who had their fundamentals down but was just meh. The meta and average skill back then was much lower, so a rook may be comfortable booming or fighting in imp or even dabbling with a knight rush, but generally wasnt great with early agression.

Grook was a good rook who generally had their build order pretty tight, and could probably knight rush like a G (which, back then was lethal enough to guarantee a victory at or around said skill level. They may dabble with some flushing (the only flush back then, really, was the trash flush), but we're more comfortable in castle

Linter was a low intermediate. They were pretty much great at flushing and could punish a grook going for a FC.

Inter was basically an expert since the term expert was used super sparingly. Drushes to be expected at this level.

My point here isn't to whine and say we need to do this here or anything. I know it's a different world, different time, different culture around the game, different platform etc. Just curious if there are any old-timers out there who remember these old days - and if I ever played against ya nearly 2 decades ago. (Fuck, I'm getting so old!!!!)
