A newbie question about army comp for goths

So I've recently bought AoE 2, and have been enjoying it a lot. I do however have a question about constructing your army. I do have a list of the various counters, but I'm wondering if there's a solid standard army comp to make, when you're not too sure on all the counters. I plan on playing Goths by the way, since I enjoyed playing zerg in SC2, and those factions seem to have similar play-styles. Any help is greatly appreciated!
