My experience moving from HD to Voobly.

I have about 1k hrs on HD. Thanks to Aoe2Tools I've started playing on Voobly.

Players in Voobly are a lot less tolerant of port fowarding. In HD lobbys, warning messages come up but it kinda just gets lost in chat and gets ignored. This means that that really awful HD lag never really happens in Voobly. Games with ~400 ping are really quite playable in Voobly, greatly expanding the number of lobbys you can join.

Because you can see stats such as games played, hosts are a lot more picky on who they let in the lobby. This causes problems. I have won too many games in New Player lobby that I get kicked whenever I join a lobby. I also get kicked in Medieval Siege because I have too few games. It's really hard to get games now, because I don't fit anywhere. People say to just 'host my own games', but I don't have the time to sit round in empty lobbies. I'd rather join one that has a few players in already. A suggestion to fix this might be to somehow verify HD games played as part of Voobly account?
