Age of Empires: Definitive Edition doesn’t work with co-op

Issue: Age of Empires: Definitive Edition doesn’t work with co-op. First I join my friend and says “no ai in ranked match” for no reason and won’t let us start, then I try to host and I can’t invite him at all, he’s not on the ingame invite and it only lets me invite him in our steam chat when he’s not in the game, even then pressing invite to lobby does nothing.

Reproduction Steps: Try to join a friend’s lobby through steam integration If that manages to work then try start a multiplayer match with bots Also try invite the friend by right clicking their name in steam chat, doesn’t give you the option if they are in the game, only if they are just online not in the game, even then it doesn’t work after you press invite to lobby.
