The middle-eastern and islamic civs need more zeal and i'm not talking about zealotry. they should be some of the most aggressive and unrelenting civs in the game, they should either be extremely strong in castle or before and fall off on imp, or be extremely powerful in castle and forward.
Why do the Turks not have halberdiers when they had them as royal guard servants! Or at least a mounted version that is weak to the spear line by itself even more than elephant, but hard counters enemy cavalry more than camels. Could just remove skirmisher in general and give them genitour haha. They already have a weak early game and a gold reliant imp, give them some good trash so they don't get completely blasted.
Why do the Saracens not get gold back for their champions dying as well with Madrassah? Dying in battle was a badge of honor to serve Allah, not accounting for the knowledge and scouting info they discovered along the way. It would be nice to see them get some good trade bonuses that don't solely effect them, as Saracens were known for their education, economy, and trading. Very good people.
The Persians should have been an aggressive-defensive hybrid as a counter to the Byzantines/Romans. We should have gotten more interesting and useful boiling oil-esque techs.
Berbers are fine. I love them. Inshallah.
I feel like Malis should focus more on infantry and cavalry than archers, give them blast furnace, give them paladin!
Tatars are also fine. Good changes recently. I also love them. Bismillah.
