Remove animal decay from the game

Why there is even animal decay in the game in the first place? I cant find any situation, where dead animals not decaying would break game balance. On the other hand decaying animals put another arbitrary level of game difficulty for new players, who have to manage harvesting sheep one at the time, keep an eye on their town center to prevent enemy scout from laming your sheep, etcetera...
