New-ish player here. I'm currently playing at a pretty low level (1600-1700 HD), and while I'm starting to get confident with build orders, early raids, and feudal wars, I'm really having trouble managing my game in late castle / imp.
It's getting to the point where if I don't win a game in the first 20 minutes, I can be pretty sure I'm going to lose. While I know the basics of army composition and counters, I'm constantly losing map control, falling behind in eco, and getting overrun by massed micro'd armies.
When I watch my own replays, there's usually no one point I can say, "Yep, that's where I lost" - it just seems to be a gradual fall behind the other guy.
What's the best way to improve or practice my Castle and Imperial game? While there's loads of resources available for early game strategy there doesn't seem to be as much for late game.
