Gameplay:
At dark and feudal age, the infantry is solid with free armor upgrades and access to eagles but with no real economic bonus until that, they will struggle vs strong infantry civs like Goths, who are way stronger. Once in castle age, you will have some extra resources and FU crossbowman, monks, elephants and knights, who will make them very dangerous in that stage, but will later struggle vs stronger civs at castle age like Malians or Persians.
Once on imperial age, they have a great infantry spam and some nice siege options, good monks and defenses.
