aoe2 hd community

Hi,

Recently i started playing again aoe2 the hd edition on steam. I used to play 1-2 years ago and the community was large and was growing even further. You could find any kind of lobbies from the classic RM games to odd scenarios that required tremendous effort to play and win. So i came back a few days ago and it kinda feels dead. I'm not a very high elo player, back in the day i was 18+ on steam, now it seems that i can only compete with 17+. I rarely can find any lobbies for my elo, it's either i'm too low or too high. What happened to this game?
