Ideas regarding monk mechanics

I'm aware that these are ideas that will change the mechanics of the game, so they will almost be impossible to implement in the current AOE2/AOE2HD, but perhaps other projects like AOE2DE or OpenAge can support them in the future.

In maps like Arena, sometimes there will be monk wars where both sides will just start converting each other's monks, resulting in RNG deciding the match with one side converting everything and the other one ending up with nothing.

Idea 1:

What if a monk that gets converted has their faith set to 0%? This will prevent chain conversions where player 1 converts a monk of player 2 and then uses that monk to start another conversion, and so on.

Idea 2:

What if targeting a monk in the middle of conversion with your own monk (that's also at 100% faith) drains both of their faiths to 0%? Assuming fairly equal numbers and decent micro, both sides of a monk war will just take out each other's faith with no casualties.

This will also introduce a strategy aspect, where you can decide if you want to spend your faith to convert some of the enemy's army or use your monks to defend your army from conversions by canceling enemy monks.

I'm also interested in reading and discussing other ideas about monk changes.
