Hey guys, before we start, I really wanted to say how happy I am with how DE turned out. I'm super satisfied about how the game looks and feels. I am hugely impressed by the deticated work of the devs, and want to give my thumbs up (not that it means anything, just nice to hear sometimes).
I was wondering what "default zoom" is generally considered a good balance between seeing enough and not seeing enough detail. Currently I'm playing on 100% (1920x1080), and before I get used to it (a habit that could turn into a handycap, if you know what I mean) I wanted to ask your guys' opinion.
There obviously is a trade-off, a parabola if you will. Zooming in too much lets you see each unit clearly, you missclick less and are generally more accurate with commands. On the other hand, zooming out too much gives you a better sight of the "entire picture", distances are in perspective, etc. You get the point.
So, What zoom do pros play on? What zoom do you guys play on? Do you zoom in & out according to situation? Or you you have a "default zoom" and remove the hotkey (aka the mouseweel) from changing it? Is there a golden middle?
I also read about how the UHD "DLC" changes things (not quite sure how), but I haven't tried it out yet (tbh I downloaded it, didn't see any difference, but lateron realized I never checked the box :P).
