Healing is not very common among most of players.I don't use it myself too. It seems reasonable since normal healing rates* aren't that effective and units have to retreat for healing.
Monk: 150hp/min*
Byzantine Monk: 225hp/min
In TC or Tower garrison: 6hp/min*
In Castle garrison: 12hp/min*
with Herbal Medicine tech(increase healing speed 500% in DE)
In TC or Tower garrison: 36hp/min
In Castle garrison: 72hp/min
Herbal Medicine tech makes these numbers seriously considerable for generic civs imo. Teutons have it free as civ bonus now. Vikings and Berbers have also regenerate bonuses on some of their units which will cause faster healing rates. There are four civs currently have no access to Herbal Medicine(Byzantines,Huns,Turks and Vikings)
What do you guys think? Is healing mechanic balanced or need some more changes for being useful?
