I am using Steam Proton to play AoE on Ubuntu 20.04 but I'm having trouble opening the game. I have used the last three versions of proton and it still didn't work. One time it gave me a pop up error that said my gpu wasn't compatible with DirectX 11 but I have the Amd Radeon HD 6670 which is DirectX 11 compatible. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could get the game working?
