How did you improve with Age?

I wanna hear your stories (and maybe copy a training strat or two) about how you got better at Age of Empires!

Personally, I find training with higher ELO players is really beneficial because you're able to pick up on their strats super duper quick, and be able to tweak them to fit your playing style.
