Strange glitch with AoM:T single player, game runes at ~170% speed at all times (NOT on lightning mode), any help?

This is not for Extended Edition, I am playing on AoM with the titans expansion and I have Voobly installed. This occurs both when I launch the game regularly, and through Voobly.

As the title says, whenever I play a single player random map vs AI, my game is constantly sped up. I am watching the timer and comparing it to a timer on the side, and the game runs around 170% faster than real time. I am NOT on lightning mode, I am on supremacy. I do not have this issue when playing with other people on Voobly, only in single player. I just tested the campaign, and the game seems to be running at real time speed, maybe slightly faster, but definitely not the extreme speed of random map games.

I cannot find many other people reporting this bug online, if anybody else has experienced this or has a possible solution, I would appreciate it if you could tell me. Thanks.
