VANILLA Age of Mythology - Any way to get bug-free antialiasing (nvidia)

I'm running vanilla AoM (not "enhanced edition"). Enabling AA via the nvidia control panel results in ugly artifacts around UI text. This happens no matter what type of AA I use, even OGSSAA and SGSSAA. Does anyone know how to prevent this?
