When I get completely whooped by a strategy I like to try it myself to see how it works. Since I started doing this I have learned how to handle most typical rushes; scouts, man-at-arms, archers, etc which has really helped improve my game. The one that I hadn't managed to get on top of was a tower rush.
I am 6 games into learning the inca tower rush with blacksmith upgraded vils. My opponents haven't been happy. Two knew how to handle it and won the game (these were the most useful games for me). Two resigned as soon as the first tower went up without even trying to do anything about it making a few salty comments about the strategy. The last two though were very unhappy. They refused to resign making it as hard as possible for me to find their vils all the while throwing insults in the chat.
Are tower rushes considered poor sportsmanship among the AOE2 community?
