Idle TC time

At 1.1k -1.2K ish elo, I tend to have a lot of idle TC time post castle age. I thought I have always been producing vills in the game but I think the long idle tc time is probably because I didn’t keep all 3 or 4 of my TCs running, while the opponent only had 2 TC running. In this game that I won I had 55:14 min idle tc time and the opponent had 34 min, but my vill count is 125 and he only had 61 by the time the game is over. So when multiple TCs are up, does the way idle tc time is calculated from CaptureAge always matter? Do you always have ALL your tc running?
