Howdy, long time casual AoE3 player here. My favourite civ is the Dutch, as they have the Royal Upgrade for Nassau Halberdiers, my favourite unit. But I've noticed something strange about Carabineer Ruyters, their other Royal Unit.
Most units get an updated appearance when they are upgraded, such as Halberdiers becoming much shinier, but Carabineer Ruyters don't seem to do this. However, Consulate Carabineers, the version of Ruyters available to the Japanese, do have an updated appearance; their hat is coloured, their clothes are blackened and their horse's butt plate... thing... has a striped pattern on it.
This is a bug, right? does anyone know of a fix for this, like a patch or modpack? I've experimented with them before, but I haven't seen any note of this minor error even being noticed.
