Mod help please!

I have created a mod that allows you to eat dead villagers like sheep. I want to give Mayans gold on their dead villagers instead of food. I have successfully created an exclusive villager type that only Mayans have. When I click on the dead body, it shows gold. When a villager collects from the body, the living villager gets gold. However when that villager drops it off at the tc, I get food added instead of gold. I think this is because the villager turns into a Shepard.

I'm thinking of two ways to solve this and I want to know if and how they'd work. First I think I could somehow change the property of the Mayan villager carcass so that it turns villagers who try to collect it into gold miners instead of Shepard's. Second, instead of spawning a reskinned sheep carcass, have Mayan villagers turn into some sort of gold pile when they die.

My second problem is trying to give a civilization a specific new starting unit on a nomad style map. Ideally I would like to use an RMS "if" command to do this since the new unit would only make sense on the map this mod is intended for. Is there an "if turks" command?

If not, can someone give an explanation of how I can use the incan llama spawn function for a different civilization? It seems complicated. Perhaps it would be easier to simply copy the Inca civ data onto Turks and then change back everything else?
