I've been playing aoe2 for years, but mostly just with my wife on my team vs ai, or a bunch of friends messing around. I never got into the big competitions or meta gaming. I found this subreddit a little while ago and it has renewed my interest. My only problem is that I need to start thinking about the game on the next level to keep up with all y'all and your discussions.
Is there a guide or something (I prefer reading to watching due to sharing an office with other people) that you can point me towards about introducing players to some of the basic strategy concepts y'all talk about? I'm really interest in your discussions about strategy but you rattle off various tactics and ideas as though we all know what they are, and I get lost googling them individually.
