I'm a ~1200 rated player in DE 1v1 and I usually play vietnamese. I don't really know what to do against Malians because of their pierce armor bonus on infantry. Usually they start swarming my base with men at arms starting in feudal age and I have a hard time defending it. It only snowballs further as their militia line evolves with each age. Against Goths I found it effective to feudal archer rush them down before they can get their castle up and produce Huskarls. But with malians it's like I hit a brick wall as soon as we reach feudal. Any tips?
