Coaching For All Players

Hey everyone, I’m starting a coaching program to help players looking to improve at aoe2. I will accept players of all elo’s since I believe I have something to offer to both beginner and intermediate players. For those interested, I’m able to coach on both Voobly and HD, so the choice will be up to you. Likewise for communication, I can use voice chat (Teamspeak or Discord) or simply type to you in game, whichever you prefer. My goal is to teach players new things and ultimately increase their skill, understanding of the game and to help them play consistently.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with me, my username is Hera and I am part of team aftermath. I am a 2k5 voobly player who peaked at a rating of 2646. I also competed in several tournaments throughout the years, most notably the 2016 Nations cup where I placed 2nd playing for team Canada. I’ve been playing this game for 5 years now, since the age of 14, and have been loving it ever since.

I will be offering coaching for 2 categories of players; Beginner and Intermediate.

Beginner:

Recommended elo: under 1900 HD, under 1600 Voobly

For this category, I will focus on the basic understanding of the game, and general information that will be useful from the get go. I will provide common build orders that explain everything you need to do and what to look for in the first 15 minutes of the game, depending on your playstyle. I will also help with your hotkey setup and teach you good habits that will speed up your gameplay. To help you get a feel for the top level decision making, I will answer all of your situational questions that you would normally get a response of ‘it depends’. The idea with this category is to help you start winning more games through repetition, consistency and strong openings. From here, you will get exposure to the critical thinking skills necessary to win games, and you might be able to start learning how to adapt your build orders for your own strategic decisions because of the knowledge acquired.

I will offer 3 packages that you can choose from, however all payments must be made beforehand:

1. 20$ per hour - (Great for specific needs, which we can address in shorter sessions, or a nice intro to my coaching style without committing too much)
2. 180$ for 10 hours - (not all in one day, but over the course of time - this package will be more comprehensive to better assist you, i.e. regular check-ins, and a chance for you to communicate your needs.)
3. 350$ for 20 hours - (not all in one day, but over the course of time - this package will be more comprehensive to better assist you, i.e. regular check-ins, and a chance for you to communicate your needs.)

Intermediate:

Recommended elo: 1900+ HD, 1600+ Voobly

For this category, I will focus more on gameplay and decision making. I will provide extended build orders that cover your options for the first 30 minutes of the game. I will explain the pros and cons of those options, so you are able to decide on your own which one is best in the current game. I will explain certain macro and late game concepts to help you in imperial age fights. I will also give you some tips on Multi Queue and control groups that will clean up your gameplay. If you choose to, we can watch your recorded games and pinpoint critical moments in the game, in order to help you in future games. The idea with this category is to help you win games through tactical decisions and macro-oriented gameplay. This type of coaching is intricate and detailed providing you with the little things that will elevate your game to the next level.

I will offer 3 packages that you can choose from, however all payments must be made beforehand:

3. 450$ for 20 hours - (Not all in one day, but over the course of time - this package will be more comprehensive to better assist you, i.e. regular check-ins, and a chance for you to communicate your needs on a regular basis.)

TIMES:

Coaching sessions will be an hour long, + 5 minutes at the start to talk about what we're going to do. My availabilities are as follows, all times in GMT.

Friday:

• 15:00 - 16:00
• 16:10 - 17:10
• 23:00 - 24:00 (On stream coaching)

Saturday:

• 15:00 - 16:00
• 16:10 - 17:10
• 17:20 - 18:20

I have 6 slots, 3 on friday and 3 on saturday. I will work on a first come first serve basis, so be quick to reserve your favorite slot! Once you reserve a time slot, it will be yours until your package has ended. In the case that demand is high, I will have a waiting list of 1 per time slot, so when someone is finished, I will call on the one waiting in line.
