Fog of war indistinguishable on voobly

Just got Voobly and the experience has been frustrating so far. The lag is nice, but the technical barrier to entry has been a pain. Just getting hotkeys to persist through games was a chore.

Anyhow, I noticed now that the areas I have already explored but don't currently have line of sight of look nearly identical to the area I have line of sight of.

I tried screenshotting it for context, but the colours came out very different (whole screen was green/purple/red).

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Searches on google and voobly forums have not helped.
