I got some casual friend to buy AoE2HD, what are some fun modes, custom games, scenarios etc that i can play with them #beginnerfriendly?

Hey Guys, I played a 2 Players vs 2 Bots last night. The problem was that even though i'm a nub there is a huge skill diffrence to my friend. He got intimidated by the fact and bored really fast. (He was like hey they attacking me, you gonna save me anyway, *yawn)

So are there any more dynamic ai's, or better/"funner" modes or maps that are suited for playing with casuals?
