Looking for a good civilization to boom

Hey,

I'm looking for a good civilization to boom with but not get rekt early. I'm a new player and I don't really like fighting early, so I'm looking for a civ I can boom with fast and save (I know there is no "save" in aoe, but you might get what I mean). My thoughts were maybe the aztecs, because they can carry more ressources? Is it a strong civ?
