What went wrong with my dr -> Feudal Eagles vs. dr -> Archers?

I (~1800 HD) played Incas flank tonight vs. Teutons "Dante" (~2300 HD). I tried to play drush into Eagles, and it actually seemed to be working really well at first. I cleaned up his drush and for a brief moment I felt even or possibly ahead as his ranges were just starting archer production. I wasn't sure whether to raid or try to camp his production to prevent him massing; at first I tried the latter, but something happened and it completely fell apart. I basically died shortly after.

I watched the rec and I'm not quite sure what happened. Did I need 3 rax to keep up with his production? Just take better fights? add a range and try to add skirms? Tower up at home and try to raid him? (Clearly at some point I needed to wall or tower and I never did, thus dying completely).

Random notes:

I totally winged the build order since I don't think I've ever tried playing Feudal Eagles before, but that part actually seemed to go fairly well by my ~1800 HD standards. If someone wants to post a real BO that'd be cool.

The rec goes about an hour and it was a decent game except for my contribution 11. Nothing I have a question about after dying though.
