Request for Turks to get pikemen.

In the original AoK, there was no Halberdiers. So the Turks were meant to get a 1 tier lower spear unit than the highest (like Mongols getting pikemen). So they were given Spearmen. Then, the Conquerors came out and a new tier unit, the Halberdier was released. Rebalancing the game, and ultimately making the spearmen an obsolete unit. Turks were left with spearmen and not given the pikemen.

This makes them useless at late game trash, mid game 1v1s at imperial, and useless in most map styles, especially when lacking gold. They also lack arbalests and elite skirms, very bad. So they are a very "niche" civ, only good for scummy tactics and gives extra headaches to use and manage.

Let this be a request for Turks to finally receive their technically-deserved pikemen. After 18 long years.
