The thing about eagles they are cheap , and you can start massing them on feudal age , Early castle age your opponent can have 30-40 upgraded eagle warrior ..
Now walls are a nice delay , but I feel like you need 20Knights to deal with 30 eagles , and you are giving away so much map control.
Yesterday I had a game vs Aztecs as Byzantines , I went for my castle age UU as a counter in castle age , it worked and I won , but I wouldn’t say all UU will preform that well vs eagles
You think going long swords is viable now in castle age as a counter?
Scorpions ? You don’t have high mobility with those units
