Shotels vs goth spam

Ethiopians vs goths seems like mayans vs goths in late game but slightly better for ethiopians because they have shotels. But shotels aren't cost efficient vs goth inf; both goth elite husks and champs exchange 4 hits between them and shotels, but shotels are more expensive and require castles.

The only advantage I can see is that ethiopians have better eco than goths, royal heirs costs less than perfusion, shotels move faster than goth inf, and they are one of the only units that can contest the insane creation speed of goth infantry units (shotels create in 3 seconds, huskarls in 5 seconds).

Is it the same level as mayans vs goths or can ethiopians hold on?
