The one and only person i ever watched stream anything is this guy MEMBTV, i have no idea why i started, i was constipated last week and downloaded twitch while squirming on the toilet to distract myself and next thing u know im watching the guy for the entire weekend(ended up pooping obviously, im not dead).
anyway iduno why i said all that, but point is im clueless. im over 30 and played over 200hours of AOE2 and AOK when i was a kid and the game first came out. today, i try to play stuff like sc2 but my APM is low (and i dont enjoy the high flying apm actions clicking all over my screen, just not good at it either) and i get smoked by people who have a solid system down, its just too hard and too many little nuances to learn to even compete. AOE2 feels like that too, is it worth getting? watching memb TV commentate games is really, really fun to watch and i love the micro of the BATTLES... im not sure ive seen many games achieve what aoe2 has in terms of the 3v3 micro battles. what worries me is literally everything else, there seems to be a ton of clicking and high level play is fun to watch but may seem like a chore? to actually play.
also, what version should i get... aoe2 HD? what version does everyone play online? and where do you play? is there a hardcore leaderboard/ranking system with elo?
when is this aoe2 dev edition coming out? should i just wait for that?
