Rams deffence, a good strategy to counter a TRush?

I have troubles sometimes to counter a goddamn tower rush, i consider it very noobish and annoying strategy, so what do you think about rams in castle to counter this kind of rushes? If you can manage to reach castle age take all the gold and wood you can and spam rams until the enemy quits using towers or run out of stone, then you go with your usual playstyle.
