Post-imp as Britons, which unit to use to protect my archers from large army of mongonels?

Question in title. BF 4v4. Went full Longbowman in my last game (120), got rekt within a minute from 15-20 mongonels. I must say early in the game I told my plan to my teammate asking some units to counter mongonels but he didn't speak english so I didn't get that help. And my fault was to not change my plan because of that and because I didn't know which units to make as britons to protect my archers I guess. What unit should I use next time? THNAK YOU
