Is there a way to play AOE2 under Endless OS?

I'm using Endless OS on my laptop, I'd love to aoe2 again (Age Of kings would be fine for me but any aoe2 could be ok for me).

I tried virtual machine (Gnome-Boxes) with no luck as the game (probably due to the lack of video driver) dies immediately with an error. Even tried to Emulate Win95 in DosBox managed to have video drivers but had same effect as vm.

KEEP IN MIND: Endless uses Flatpak so Wine or Lutris won't work
