On the escape website it has $4,500 for 1st, $2,500 for 2nd, and $1,760 for 3rd. Is this the total amount for each team for the entire finals? If so, didn't some of the group stages have as big of a prize pool? I just feel bad for some of the players who probably won't recoup their travel expenses from the winnings. Many of these guys are still in school.
I'm still thankful for escape to bring this together for an old game that we care about but I just feel bad that some might lose money in order to play in the finals if this is correct.
