Help with the scenario editor

Hi, I'm making a scenario and I would like some feedback on some inconsistencies I'm running into.

First off, and should be the easiest to solve. Whenever I place a "Gaia" flag, the flag itself comes out as this weird black color, and whenever my unit walks up to it, the flag does not convert to my team. It should convert to blue, but the flag stays the same black color, and does not give me a sight radius around it. I tried for all the other flags, but the same thing happens (black color and does not convert). I tried with other Gaia buildings (I tried it with barracks and bombard tower), and the buildings converted fine. So I know this is a problem with the specific flags converting, not a problem with conversion in general.

This had worked correctly for me before, as when I was making other maps, I could put down a Gaia flag and it would come out as a gray color (instead of black), and it would convert when a unit walked up to it.

Second problem, I tried using the "Modify Attribute" effect, but I ran into inconsistencies. I want to have a "Murder Holes" effect for a tower, (no minimum range), so I have the effect as "set 0.". This doesn't work, as "the target is too close to attack". Same thing happens when I do "multiply 0" or "subtract 1" (fire tower has 1 range).

I've come to the conclusion that the "Modify Attribute" effect either has no effect, or (more likely), I'm doing something wrong. I've tried googling the problem, but I haven't found a lot of solutions. Only thing I found was a thread from 3 months ago, listing more inconsistencies with the "Modify Attribute" effect.

A similar problem arises with the "Maximum Range" attribute. I want the fire tower to have infinite range (can shoot across the entire map), so when I have the "Maximum Range" attribute multiplied by 999, and I target a unit across the map, it tells me that the "target is too far away to attack".

To try to solve this problem, I instead try to use "Change Object Range" instead of "Modify Attribute." It still gives me the "target too far away" message. Kind of stuck at a dead end on this one.

Third problem, pretty minor, but when I have the tower set as immortal with the "infinite health trick," I end up with a long negative number. I know it doesn't affect anything, but it does look rather unsightly. Is there a way to have no health number show up, kind of like the Monument on King of the Hill maps?

Last problem, less of a "problem," rather, and more looking for a way to accomplish this. Next to the tower, the land is on fire, so I want a way to "simulate" the fire, i.e. every few seconds, every unit (friendly or otherwise), takes a bit of damage. Not sure how to accomplish this, but I've started out with the "Objects in Area" condition, but don't quite know how to work off of it from there.

Thank you for reading all the way through, and sorry if it's not the right place to post this. I know it's a bit of a wall of text, but I've asked questions on here about the scenario editor before, and you have all been very helpful. I tried asking on the Discord server and googling the questions but those weren't very helpful in the end. Thanks again, in advance.
