I was playing AoE2 Definitive Edition and got a black screen. I need help to save the game before I alt+f4 beacause the text is invisible.

This is like the third time that it's happened, but now I'm the farthest i've been in a game (like over an hour, I downloaded it today, and finished tha learn to play campaign earlier today. this is my third game because i had to quit on the other two bc of the black screen) and really don't wanna loose my progress.

I was hoping if anyone could just pop into a game and tell me how many times i need to go down on the pause menu to save the game, and on what to click next. maybe a video would be nice.
