I'm analysing a arena game I played recently.
It was a 3v3 game and I was playing turks, I went for a fast imp and was on the flank, their flank didn't see it coming and was just pushed out of his base.
I decided to go for their pocket who was mongols who managed to push me back with mass light cav, magudai and siege ram.
It was a messy fight, the mongol player was clearly better than anyone in our team, micro was on point taking out my bombard's and just overwhealming me.
I had gold to spare (as trade started happening) so I went for heavy camel as turks to counter the light cav and the magudai.
We had pretty much a 3v2 going on, the flank did reboom and had the ocasional trash army but was mostly out of the picture, we won in the end but I feel like it took a long time.
The mongol player was dug in and had a ton of castles up, so I wonder was heavy camel the right call, or should I have spammed hussar and maybe even cav archers?
I always forget that cav archer is an option, after I got initially pushed back I did ditch the HC's for the rest of the game (as there were no spears coming out) but I wonder if It could have been cleaner with macro descisions.
