I just noticed that all the civs with gunpowder bonuses have bad win rates except Indians who win 50.84% of the time.
Some of the worst civ win rates in the game are gunpowder related such as Portuguese, Spanish, Italians, Koreans and Burgundians.
Gunpowder units have failed.
