So i've been playing a lot of team games on arabia lately. I note that the elo system is broken and that complicates such games. But based on my experience in the relationship between elo and skill, i'd say the most players i have encountered are between 1600 and 1800 HD. I'm not complaining that allies are being beaten, thats to be expected on average half the time.
What has been frustrating me is ally pocket/flanks using builds that to me appear far from the meta, even if well executed. So I want to do two things, establish what the meta options are for all civs for flank/pocket, and use that info to give myself and others a resource to improve their game. To that end I will outline what I believe to be the viable options for flank/pocket, and edit them as instructed.
It is my understanding that at this level of gameplay, to the first degree, it is usual for the pocket to go fc->something strong and mobile and flanks to do some form of extended feudal aggression.
