Age of Empires black screen on launch

Hi there

I just purchased the game from the windows store and installed it. However when I try to run it, it just shows a black window with the "Age of empires" picture in the centre. Has anyone else had this issue? I uninstalled it and reinstalled but still have the issue. I checked that the "WindowsPush ToInstall service" was running too. I disabled my antivirus, updated my drivers too.

I am running windows 10 with the latest updates. :(

PC specs: Nvidia 1050ti, windows 10, 16gb ram, AMD ryzen 5 1600
