Hey guys, I need a little help...

So, first of all, I'm admittedly not the smartest when it comes to computer hardware (I work I.T, but I primarily deal with applications and stuff), but I've owned a few gaming laptops in the past.

Here's the situation. I'm gonna be buying a ring to propose to my girlfriend, and I wanna make it pretty good ring since we've been dating for 8 years. But, at the same time, I want a new desktop gaming PC.

WOOOAAH now hold on. The ring is obviously a priority, but I mean, a new desktop to play my favorite games on would also be neat. She's got a nice lil "office" room at her place, which I've already decided will be a gaming room. That's besides the point...

I don't make a lot of money, and I also put a lot of it toward my music career. Once the ring is bought, I will immediately begin the desktop purchasing and building. That's where you, the beautiful Master Race, come in.

What are the best parts, for value, that I could buy to make a solid gaming desktop capable of running most newer games smoothly. Remember, the key takeaways are:

1.) I don't have a ton of money

2.) I will have just bought a ring

3.) I wanna play games like Elder Scrolls VI and maybe Anthem

4.) I'm not the smartest with hardware

What would be the ideal setup? And girlfriend, if you're reading this, who wants an office space over a gaming room?? I can hang my swords in there and everything. I have some incense too, I'm sure it'll bring the immersive gameplay to life. And yeah. You can play Age of Empires, aka the only game you ever play.
