In a situation like this, what should I do? (Noob that want to learn here please sorry the stupid question)

Let's say I'm the flank of my team and we play BF.

I rush my opponent and I'm killing his villagers so I'm doing well.

My opponent doesn't send his army to fight my army though, but he send his army to my TC.

In a case like this, should I retire to protect my TC? Or should I keep pushing?
