In AOE2: Rarest and most valuable resource in the game, at any age it's worth more than its weight in gold
IRL: Literally the most abundant resource on Earth, so common, our planet is actually named after it.
In AOE2: Castles and towers are made with stone
IRL: Literally every building on earth has some stone in it, and some non-arrow-shooting buildings are actually constructed entirely of stone
Also, if onagers/trebuchets don't cost any stone, where do their projectiles come from?
If we could task an onager/mangonel to attack ground directly on a TC, could we harness the infinite stone generating properties of a siege weapon to achieve ultimate cost effectiveness?
This is what I think about before I sleep
