I was just wondering what everyone's play-style is. Campaign, Vs AI, Vs real players? What difficulty can you manage? What civs do you main? What are weird tactics you like to employ? How many players (AI or real) do you like to have in a match?
Me: I've been playing casually since the game came out. I've only recently been able to set the difficulty to standard and still win. Moderate is an assured defeat for me. I really have never branched out from the Britons and their longbowman. I like to wall myself in early and play defensively until I hit imperial when I overwhelm the AI with an army of archers and trebuchets along with a handful of monks for some heals.
I have a bit of OCD when it comes to my town layout. I like it to look like an actual town rather than buildings thrown wherever they fit. I've gone as far as placing a short palisade wall near my stables so it looks like a jousting area.
Early in the game, I'll make a few military units to guard all the relics I find before the castle age. The AI only ever sends a single monk at a time and the 3-4 units guarding the relic will make short work of them.
