I'm 17 and I've been playing it since I was 3. Some of my very best memories are linked with this game. I remember staying up through the night trying to beat shah in the 4th or 5th Genghis Khan campaign. I literally played 8 hours straight, multiple attempts, till I finally got it right and won in a 4 hour long match. I don't think I've ever been happier than I was then. Exhausted and tired and cramps all over and my eyes hurt but I was so damn happy. I bought it recently, so most of my life I've played those original 5 campaigns (each of which has such an amazing and inspiring story) over and over and innumerable random map games with the AI.
I had the game but an old CD and I had no clue anyone else even played this anymore. One day I thought I'd look it up on YouTube and then I found Spirit of the Law and T90 then found out about steam and voobly. I can't express how happy I was. The Microsoft Zone had shut down before I ever got access to the internet and I'd made my peace with the fact that I'd never ever be able to play multiplayer with someone else. The fact that so many people still love this game just like I do, means the world to me. Thank you all so much for keeping this amazing game alive. I'm so glad my sister bought that CD.
