what should I have done in this situation?

I was the Huns.

Map was BF 4v4.

I make paladins + cav archers, and I start to attack my opponent flank. I raid his base but he doesn't resign. Then I go to the second player base, and here I got stucked alone aginst 3 players (including red that probably reboomed somewhere else).

What they made was A LOT (and I mean A LOT) of skirmishers. Among all these massed skirmisher, there were some halberdiers (troublemakers) and a bunch of war elephant. Sometimes there were some waves of hand cannoneers. BTW at that moment I wanted to have siege onagers, but as you know wasn't possible. So I keep going with my compositions until I resigned (well... I had the resources to keep going for some times, but I was losing terrain and also the opponent fourth player destroyed all my other 3 teammates and went to raid my base so at that point was a gg for sure) but I'm wondering if I could go with another combination at that moment against all that skirmishers. I thought to make champions but then we have the range problem (and also I needed to do all the upgrades which would require too much time I fear in that situation) so I though wasn't a great idea. What should I have done in your opinion? No chance?
