Hello. I'm using wine-staging 2.21 from the winehq repo, on Debian Sid. I can play AoE2HD from Steam perfectly. I can also install Voobly and apply the needed patches to AoE2HD (+also installing DirectPlay through winetricks).
However, when I go into a lobby to try to join a game, the Launch button won't start it. I've tested this on normal lobbies, on lobbies where I'm going to spectate, and also on a lobby with just myself (1/1), and it never starts. It seems like it's going to, and then just reverts back to "Waiting for Players".
If I launch age2_x1.exe manually, I just get a blank error box. If I launch age2_x2.exe manually, I get a small main menu with almost no fonts, and I'm unable to start any games without it crashing. I even tried to do it on my small windows partition, and it gave me an error when starting games that my GTX 760's drivers didn't support DDraw.
TL;DR, I can play AoE2HD on Wine just fine, but I can't play AoE2HD on Voobly with the compatibility patch on Wine.
Any advice on what I could be doing wrong here?
