I just played a game on Midgard vs a Thor player. I won the water early on and killed most of my opponents fishing ships. Behind that I went for a 2nd TC and started building toxotes. But my opponent went quickly up to Mythic, attacked me with fire giants and throwing axemen, and just as I was beginning to clear them out 100 heroes of ragnarok showed up in my main TC so I resigined.

A lot of my games follow this pattern where I get an early advantage but don't know how to push it. Then my opponent stabilises, goes Ragnarok and I lose. How should I be playing against Norse as Zeus?

My power went out and my game reset...all my hotkeys are reset and resolution.

I have both the user.cfg file and changed the name for the .exe to change the resolution but it doesn't work anymore after the power outage.

When I try to join the game via voobly, it says ''nicknames cannot be blank''.

Something's fruited up here.

EDIT: Also, changing settings like resolution and hotkeys doesn't work. As soon as I exit the game, it reverts back.

The title is self explanatory. I want to play online with friends.

I used to WRP so much back when this game first came out. Almost 20 years later I’m wondering if anyone still does this or would like to get a group going.

I don't have a personal laptop. I am thinking of buying a cheap Chrome book just to play this game. Would it run well on something like a Lenovo 11E or a Dell 3120? Thanks! Sorry I am pretty ignorant with these things. Reviews said chromebook don't really wokr well for games. Thanks.

Currently running Titans and seen a couple of streamers with build rates/gather rates of villagers and damage bonus percentages etc. And can’t for the life of me find the setting to toggle this on, is it something for EE only or is there a mod I need to download? TIA

So I played AoM when I was like 7 or 8, and now after so many years my brother said "do you remember, prostagma? bulome?" and I was like OHH HOLY SHIT, and he opened this door to all of these childhood memories of us playing the game, so I wanna get back at it, I remember having such a good time playing but at those times we bought the actual game and now I don't know if I can buy it anywhere (like the physical version).

Of course I know people can just download it online (as the tutorial pinned in this reddit) but how do I know what version/link to download to play online with people? Or what's the process to actually play online?

When I was just a kid I only played against the IA so I have no clue what's the online gaming like.

Hello, I have always loved the fauna biodiversity in the ''Age of...'' games therefore I have made a list of animal species I would love to see if/when this game receives an expanison/definitive edition. Would mention that many of these are already in the game and the species which aren't- I got the inspiration from another of my favourite childhood Microsoft video games called ''Zoo Tycoon''.

I.Europe- Deer, Wild Boar, Brown Bear, Timber Wolf, Ibex, Aurochs

II.Middle East- Dromedary Camel, Jackal

Rather than setting a trigger and play testing it in order to view it? For example, a mod to place a champion hoplite in the editor.

Back in 2015, I didn't even dream of this day. I have never dreamed that I could complete 3 concepts about 3 civilization/religion for Age of Mythology. Folklore, myth, and legends are abundant so I have no problem about inspiration but it is extremely hard to create a concept that is as creative as the original Greek, Egyptian, and Norse.

I believe someone did post in this subreddit about how difficult it is to make a new civilization because it is exceedingly hard to create a unique way of generating Favor. For that, I agree which is why it was such a honor to be able to do so.

There was also issue with what gods to be chosen and what myth unit to give them. I steered away from most popular creatures like Mermaid, Werewolf, vampire and all kind of high fantasy creatures like dragons and wyverns. My reason is simple. They appeared too much on the base game and on other media already. Beside those creatures, there are a lot more myth, legend and lore about other creature that are historically tied to the local culture that deserves to be spoken.

I thank you for your help. I would not forget the Beelzebub and Shedim, nor will I forget your help regarding the Hindu concept.
