I heard there might be a sequel/remaster (or something like it - rumors sparked after this) of AoM, which I'd be super happy about!

Is there any more news on this? Or should I keep practising restraint?

I have the disks for both Titans and main game but they cant play online, would i get that with getting it from steam at least?

I wish I saved a picture but I just got out of a 2v2 Jotunheim that requires a download , the hosts name was Raul then some numbers … long story short his hacked version of Jotunheim removed the population for him and he had unlimited resources , he also has it so the score is completely turned off so you don’t know he is cheating.

I guess it’s kinda funny but also childishly stooping low since he can’t win normally.

Just a warning to be careful playing some modded Jotunheim maps, and don’t bother to waste your time 😉

Whenever I play a water map, everyone spams the fuck out of ships. Some guy made like 20 ships on Anatolia and took out my 2 docks. Like okay bud, I’ll just farm. I ended up just rushing him because he had no ground troops and won the game.

So, I am making a chill spotify playlist for studying, and it includes soundtracks from games like AOE, Iron-Harvest, Total-war.

The AoM ost is obviously missing and I wanted to add it. Problem is, it is not available in my country (It's there, I cannot access it). I don't want to buy a VPN just for the soundtrack.

Can anybody here help with that?

Hey guys! a few years ago i was really obsessed with playing age of mythology over and over after school, now after i am nearly done with school and begin to have more free time (also bored of playing league of legends all day for the past few years) i wanted to get the Extended edition on steam for 30€.
will probably still take a few days until i actually get to get myself a card for buying it but you know.
my point is, back in the day i was really quite good, but the servers were always empty when i tried to find lobbys. I wanted to haves. challange but also i still need to get back in, so if anyone Would like to follow me along getting back into it and wants to play a bit, maybe even In a bigger lobby, just hit me up.

Howdy. I'm seriously interested in playing the main campaign in lightning Mode, because I can't play this game at normal speed; only reason is it bores me to death. So, is there any way to make this happen? Not from inside the game itself, of course (I know already). I was wondering if there is some trick, you know, editing some file in the local folder, or some mod... Anything. Thanks in advance!

hey I am looking for an old player from the old AOE engine named quick silver in the north america region.

It seems at least with some other RTS games, panning the camera with the mouse while holding the middle mouse wheel is a somewhat common feature. Its also the main way most people pan the camera in programs like AutoCAD too since it allows more precise inputs (which I use for work, making it harder to switch from panning to moving the mouse to the edge of the screen). Does anyone know of a mod or feature that can pan the in-game camera with a the middle mouse wheel?

I am specially prone to early attacks, which God would be best for booming fast and also defending against early attacks?

Hello everyone! I used to play Age of Empires II and Age of Mythology as a kid long time ago. I primarily played campaigns at the time, and for a long time I was not interested in any type of gaming. I recently resumed playing the game online. I began by playing against the AI, which I have mastered and can easily defeat with any Gods or civilizations, even on the most difficult difficulties. When I play against a real player, however, I struggle a lot, even against lower-ranked opponents. I am basically very vulnerable to early attacks, and I lose the match in a flash. I would appreciate any and all suggestions, such as what I should do correctly or which God would be best for a beginner like me to begin mastering. Thank you!

I dont play this game often at all. I enjoy the campaign and skirmish, but it gets boring since the AI is clearly not the greatest.

I would like to try pvp but my experience so far is that it is just super aggressive with lots of villager raiding and early attacks. Which I'm sure I would learn to play around, but I would have to drastically change my approach which I'm not sure I want to do.

I like just turtling and rushing to mythic and then churning out a massive endless army to slowly suffocate enemies. This works pretty well against AI and its fun since I can see all the big cool myth units and god powers, but is this ever viable in pvp? Or is aggression the exclusive meta?

I'm probably just generally too slow. Like I dont really have any macros set up and am nor familiar with keyboard hotkeys. Maybe ill just try it out once (if) they remaster it.

Tldr: Is there a pvp meta? If so, is it aggressive or defensive, or does it vary hugely depending on match up?

Polls like this shouldn't lead to us fighting and bickering about what should be better for the game or "why this civ doesn't work actually" or something like that. These are just popular requests that I've seen for new Mythologies represented in a theoretical AOM:DE coming out. It's not a competition, but just a way to see where everyone stands. Ah, I stumbled across this game again a couple months ago after remembering playing it as a child. I completed the Campaign (SO FUN) and now I'm trying to play online and stuff... I'm HORRIBLE LMAO! Anyways, looking for someone to play with who is maybe a noob too? Or someone who can teach me... I'm not really looking for anything competitive tho since I'm very bad.
